Johann August Schulz, Great Grandfather to David Gray and Grandfather to Armer, Roy and Norma Schulz purchased Granite Hill in the mid 1870’s.
The property is 438 hectares (approx 1100 acres) and is stated 7kms north of Jindera on Urana Road. Jindera is a small township approx 20kms from Albury on the the NSW/Vic border.
The landscape is undulating, with a granite range on the western boundary. Annual rainfall is 680mm.
Main enterprises were originally Clydesdale horses, shorthorn cattle and merino sheep. The main enterprise is now the Charolais stud, with commercial cattle. We also trade sheep, crop and produce hay.
